Breuer Update

Docomomo / CCMHT Tour, Oct 6/7/8

CCMHT is again partnering with Docomomo US for a big Fall Tour of Cape modern houses. The line-up is still in flux but it will be at least 12 houses, some of which will be new to the tour. Ticket sales close at the end of August. Click here for tickets and more info.

Farewell to interns

Our wonderful interns are going off to college. Many thanks to Kerry Farrell (clockwise from upper left) who is going to Ithaca Collage in architectural studies, Ben Caldwell, who is attending Tulane University, and Olivia Horton who is heading to her second year in architecture at Roger Williams University. Thanks also to their design teacher at Nauset High School, Richard Tichnor, for making the connection. Thanks also to everyone who joined with us in the Samba march in Wellfleet 4th of July parade.

Breuer House Progress

We are making steady progress in fundraising for the purchase of the house through generous individuals, and we will soon begin the grant writing cycle.

We have until June 2024 to raise 1.2 million dollars, with a mortgage to cover the rest of the purchase price, and we will be asking the town of Wellfleet for a CPA grant to pay for most of the restoration. The house with its contents have international importance and there is great enthusiasm for saving it.
