Breuer Capitol Campaign Update:

Help us reach 1 million by Jan. first!!

Then and Now:

Left: The Breuers on the Wellfleet screen porch in 1950.

Right: A group of architecture students from Wentworth Institute visiting the house this fall, doing research for a pre-fab housing studio project.

It’s been an exciting season

We’ve had a tremendous response to our campaign to purchase/preserve the Breuer House and after five short months we are approaching $875,000 in donations and pledges toward our $2.4 million goal.

We hope to raise at least an additional $125,00 by the end of the year.

Almost all of our contributions so far have come from individuals and families who want to see the site, house and the critical contents conserved and used for programs benefiting artists, architects, students and the public. In addition to continuing our discussions with individual and family donors, we are now looking to foundation/institutions for support, with hopes that we can diminish or remove the need for a mortgage, which would greatly increase our freedom to expand programming.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone who has given so far, and we encourage anyone interested in the success of this project to reach out to and have a conversation or donate.
