“For years I have made paintings, drawings and prints by extracting fragments of speech, numerical phrases, and text from various cultural sources to explore the social, symbolic, and material possibilities that reside within these language situations. Recently, I became mute.

I was handed a gift, though. While sleeping and walking and reading and writing on the edge of the world ... a cliff in Wellfleet, what seemed to be Emptiness at first became full...wind, salt, water, seals, sunrise after sunrise and new experience(s) with friends.... all I needed was time, a table and a bunch of dahlias to feel alive again... completely and totally satisfying.”
