Early Summer 2025 Update

Breuer studio

We’re getting close to the finish-line of the Breuer restoration and it’s starting to look great. Many thanks to Tim Dickey Design/Build and his crew for their dedicated focus, our painter Richard Clarke, cabinet maker Thom Moses, and our stellar interns: Olivia Horton, Will Elwood, Kerry Farrell and Emily Saunders. A shout-out as well to our great sub-contractors.

Sadly, the planned Breuer open houses will need to be delayed until late summer due to the very tight completion schedule.
We'll be sharing photos of the finished project in a few weeks.

A very special thanks to the many donors, big and small, who have made all this work possible.

Snapping Turtle in Williams Pond

In turtle news: A week ago Thom and Melisa Moses were canoeing in Williams Pond, which is right in front of Breuer, when they spotted a huge snapping turtle submerged under their boat. This past Sunday, when things were quiet on the site, possibly the same turtle came all the way up the hill and deposited her eggs right next to the granite slab under which Breuer, and other family members are buried.

The first snapper nest next to the Breuer family's granite slab.

We take it as a good omen. Over the next two days five of six more snappers nested near the first. These are all marked and will be protected from human disturbance.

Hatchlings are expected in November.

See you soon,

Peter
