Open Houses at the Newly Restored Breuer House

Wednesday Sept. 10th and Saturday Sept. 13th

The open houses will be 11am to 3pm both days.In order to be considerate to the roads and neighbors we ask that you hike, paddle or bike to the site.

If you have mobility concerns there will be a shuttle picking-up and dropping-off starting at 11 and then around every 40 minutes.

Please do not drive to the site unless you have prior permission

The address is 634 Black PondRoad. but be aware, GPS is not reliable in the woods.

Hike: (It’s a 20 min. brisk walk with up-hill stretches) Since it will be post-Labor Day you can park at Town parking lots without a sticker. The closest parking is Gull Pond Landing. Hike up School House Hill Rd. and then follow signs.

Paddle: You can park at Gull Pond Landing and paddle across Gull and Higgins Ponds to Williams Pond. Breuer dock is on the left. Note: We are in a drought and the sluiceways connecting ponds are very low, so you will probably need to pull your floatie through.

Bike: You can bike from anywhere but as noted, all town parking lots are free. Note: Black Pond Road and Thoreau Way are unpaved.
